Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the sun status?
The sun status is precomputed daily from building shadows and terrain data. Accuracy depends on how well those inputs match reality; buildings that were recently added or removed may show incorrect shadows until the next nightly rebuild.
A venue is missing. Can you add it?
Yes. Email us the name and address, and we will add it in the next batch. We add missing venues every few weeks.
The sun status looks wrong.
Send us a note with the venue name, the time, and what you saw. Most cases are either an incorrect building height (we can fix that) or an outdoor seating area on the opposite side from where our data thinks it is (also fixable).
Does the app work offline?
Partially. Once loaded, the map tiles and venue data are cached; you can pan around without reception. Fresh sun data needs a connection at least once per day.
Are more cities coming?
Stockholm is next. After that, other Swedish cities based on demand. Non-Swedish cities depend on us finding good building-height data. Email us if you have suggestions.
